Everyone’s journey to gaining independence, skills, and confidence in the community is different. That’s why this NDIS support is flexible and tailored to suit your personal goals, interests, and learning style. Here’s how it can help:

Skill-Building Activities: Try out classes in areas like art, cooking, singing, dancing, horse riding, sports, or volunteering to explore new interests and build your confidence.
Social Groups and Camps: Join group programs or camps to strengthen your social skills, meet new people, and engage in fun, supportive experiences.
Modified Equipment: If your disability requires adjustments for certain activities, your funding can cover modified tools—like a specially adapted golf club to enjoy the sport comfortably.
Life Skills Development: Learn practical everyday skills such as using public transport, attending appointments, shopping, or navigating community services, empowering you to live more independently.

How to Include Increased Social and Community Participation in Your NDIS Plan

To strengthen this support in your NDIS plan, it’s important to clearly express your goals around becoming more active and independent in the community during your planning meeting or annual review.
